Voice-Controlled Smart Assistant

This project, conducted under the guidance of Dr. Jonathan Skelton, Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, involves developing a voice-controlled smart assistant capable of recognizing and responding to spoken commands. Using speech recognition technologies and natural language processing (NLP), the assistant can perform tasks such as setting reminders, controlling smart devices, and retrieving information from the web. The project highlights my skills in Python, APIs, and machine learning, specifically in implementing voice recognition and response systems, and demonstrates practical applications of AI in daily life.

Data Mining and Analytics for Agricultural Insights (SUPERMinDS)

This project, supervised by Dr. Jasmine Wan, Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics, focuses on developing interactive web tools for data mining and analytics, using USDA crop data, weather patterns, and other related factors. I am building a web interface to visualize and analyze large datasets, using Python, JavaScript, and various data visualization libraries. The goal is to uncover trends and insights to assist in optimizing agricultural production and sustainability. This project enhances my skills in data analysis, web development, and the practical application of machine learning algorithms.

Upkey: Empowering Diverse Talent

Upkey is a digital platform designed to connect underrepresented students with internship opportunities, focusing on professional development and mentorship. My role involves collaborating with a team to enhance the user experience and streamline the onboarding process for both students and employers. I contribute to designing user-friendly interfaces and implementing features that facilitate effective communication between users.

Matrix Operations Library

I am creating a Python library for efficient matrix operations utilizing linear algebra concepts to support various mathematical and engineering applications. This project involves developing optimized algorithms for common matrix operations, which can be used in various fields like machine learning and scientific computing. Through this project, I am deepening my understanding of linear algebra and algorithm design.

Personalized Study Plan Generator

I am developing an app that creates customized study plans based on students’ learning styles and performance. Using algorithms for personalized recommendations and AI for optimizing learning paths, the app aims to provide tailored guidance to help students achieve their academic goals. This project is allowing me to explore the intersection of education technology and machine learning.

Voice Aid: AI-Powered Speech Recognition for Assistive Technology

I am building an AI-driven speech recognition platform designed to assist individuals with speech impairments or physical disabilities in communicating effectively. This project involves developing custom voice recognition models that cater to various speech patterns and creating a user-friendly interface for easy interaction. The aim is to empower individuals with better communication tools, showcasing the potential of AI in assistive technology.
